Denis Peschanski is a co-director for the Politics of Memory in Global Context.
Denis Peschanski is a research director at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique). A historian of the Second World War, he has published numerous works on the Vichy regime, state propaganda, the Resistance in France, but also on memory and memorialization. He presides over the scientific councils of the memorial of Caen and the memorial of the camp of Rivesaltes.
Since 2016, Peschanski has been a member of the European Center for Sociology and Political Science (Paris 1, EHESS, CNRS) and, since 2002, the Centre for Social History of the Twentieth century.
